Vickie L. Fulford

Vickie Lynn Fulford, 66, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 10:33 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on August 29, 1955 in Kenton, OH to Taylor Ray & Dorothy Virginia (Miles) Horne.

She graduated in 1973 from Warsaw High School, attended St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, Ancilla College in Plymouth, Purdue University in Fort Wayne, and Lutheran School of Nursing in Fort Wayne. She was married on October 25, 2003 in Warsaw to Kenneth Franklin Fulford Sr. who preceded her on May 17, 2018. She was a Registered Nurse in the OB Dept. at Kosciusko County Hospital for 16 years. She formerly worked in Martinsville as a nurse and at Prairie View Nursing Home in Warsaw.

Grew up in the Warsaw / Winona Lake area, lived in Martinsville for many years before returning to Warsaw 4 years ago, and attended Christ’s Covenant Church in Warsaw.

She is survived by:

3 Sisters – Cora Horne of Warsaw, Sandra Lou (Ruben) Hicks of Kendallville, and Lois Eichelberger of Warsaw

Brother – Jimmy Horne of Warsaw

Several Nieces & Nephews and Great Nieces & Nephews

2 Step Children - Kenneth Fulford Jr.  & Tausha Kimmel

Several Step Grand & Step Gt. Grandchildren

Special dog – Suzi

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers- Tom Horne & John Horne, 6 sisters – Peggy Worsham, Patricia Copeland, Virginia Fritz, Sharon Horne, Margie Horne & an infant sister – Barbara Horne.

Cremation will take place at Cremation services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Christ’s Covenant Church, 2090 E. Pierceton Rd., Winona Lake, IN. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in the church with Pastor’s Mark Goodwin & Pastor Rod Valentine officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
