Thomas F. Brescia, of North Webster and formerly of Illinois, passed away peacefully in his home on the lake on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the age of 71. He was born in Blue Island, Illinois on August 24, 1954, the son of Richard and Shirley Brescia (DeVilbiss).
With a solid foundation in education, Tom graduated from Marist High School and later earned his bachelor's degree from Lewis University. He was a dedicated CPA, serving as a CPA and partner at Bansley Brescia and Co, PC. He also served as Vice President of Phillips Getschow Co before receiving his CPA license. Throughout his career, he made a profound impact on those around him, not only through his expertise but also through his engaging personality. Tom was known for his sarcastic sense of humor, his caring nature, and his unwavering willingness to assist anyone in need.
Beyond his career, he earned a lifetime membership from the Sons of the American Legion. Tom's passions extended beyond work; he found joy in fishing and boating. He enjoyed the beauty of the water while making cherished memories with family and friends.
Tom is survived by his sons, Rick (Eva) Brescia and Tim (MaryAnn) Brescia, and his cherished grandchildren, Cole, Kaylee, Emily, Cadence, and AJ. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Conforti, and his partner, Phyllis Perzanowski. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews along with extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Shirley Brescia, his wife, Judith Brescia (Vogt), and his brother, James Brescia.
