Theodore “John” Cole Jr., age 78, formerly of Milford, passed away on August 19, 2026 at Peabody Nursing Home in North Manchester. He was born on March 21, 1948 to Theodore and Dora Mae Cole. He was married to Peggy Frix on December 30, 1972 in Talmo, GA.

He served his country honorably during the Vietnam Conflict as a member of the United States Air Force. After his military service, he pursued a career as a product engineer at Chore Time Brock.

Outside of his professional life, John found joy in the simple yet profound pleasures of working outdoors and expressing his creativity through woodworking. His affection for his Camaro reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and the freedom of the open road. John was also a former member of the American Legion Post 223 in Syracuse.

Above all, John cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Christina (Royce) Myers of Syracuse; his grandchildren, Trevor Haab and Trenton Haab,; and his sister, Rachel (Douglas) Turner of Talmo, Georgia.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home-Syracuse, located at 1001 South Huntington St, Syracuse, IN 46567. A private burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 2524 E Bowser Road, Milford, IN 46542.

Donations may be made to the Syracuse American Legion Post 223, 1008 S Huntington St, Syracuse, IN 46567.
