Steven Seemeyer

Steven R. (Steve) Seemeyer, 58, of Ellettsville, IN (formerly of Milford) died at 1:28 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born on May 24, 1950 in Sendai Honshu, Japan to Roger F. & Juanita B. (Brooks) Seemeyer.

He graduated in 1968 from Elmhurst High School, Fort Wayne, IN. He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. On May 19, 1973 in Huntington, IN he married Barbara K. (Barb) Kocher, who survives. He retired in August 2005 after 31 years as a Conservation Officer, where he formerly served as Captain. In October 2007 he moved to Ellettsville, IN from Milford where he had lived for 29 years. He was most recently employed as a security guard at Monroe County Library, Bloomington.

2 Daughters - Mrs. Brent (Jennifer) Reeves & Mrs. Eric (Jill) Rogers both of Bloomington
2 Grandchildren - Tyler Reeves & Taylor Rogers
1 Sister - Katherine Brooks of Fort Wayne

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2008 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Celebrant, Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Private family military graveside services will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.

Memorial bequest may be given to Camp Mollenhour Conversation Camp. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
