Stanley R. "Stan" Insley

Stanley R. “Stan” Insley, 78, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Greencroft Rehab in Goshen, IN. He was born on February 11, 1941 in Warsaw, IN to Robert G. “Bob” & Ethel Mae (Rowe) Insley.

He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and graduated in 1959 from Syracuse High School. He retired in Nov. 2008 as a press operator at Parker Hannifin Corp. (formerly Goshen Rubber Co.) in Goshen, IN after 43 years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego where he formerly served as Assistant Head Usher & Assistant Sound / Video Operator, Syracuse Alumni Association, and Kosciusko County Historical Society. He was a former member of the Kosciusko County Board of Zoning Appeals (Syracuse division).

He is survived by:

Sister – Jean Insley of Syracuse

Several cousins

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Greg Harden officiating. Burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
