Shirley Mae Adamaitis

Shirley Mae Adamaitis passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 88.  Shirley was born on August 25, 1935, in Chicago, IL to the late Leo and Catherine Perion. 

Shirley grew up in the Chicagoland area where she met her late husband, George Adamaitis.  They were married on November 1, 1952, and began a family.  Shirley was a loyal employee of Walgreens for many years while also being a homemaker for her two sons.  

Shirley enjoyed retirement in sunny Florida where she hosted friends and family for social gatherings and days spent poolside.  

Shirley is survived by her grandchildren, George (Renee) Adamaitis and Ashley (Tony) Lizzi; great-granddaughter, Lia Adamaitis; daughter-in-law, Alena Adamaitis; sister, Veronica Mixen; niece, Tonya Mixen; nephew, Tom (Rachel) Thomas; great-nieces Ari Mixen and Mikenzi Thomas; great-nephews Zachary Thomas and Darrian Merritt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Adamaitis; sons, George and Michael Adamaitis; and brother Leo Perion.  

Arrangements were entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Syracuse 1001 S. Huntington Street. A private memorial service will be held held for immediate family with burial following at Syracuse Cemetery.
