Listen to Obituary

Sherry Ann Weisser, age 75, of Milford, passed away on December 18, 2025, at Goshen Hospital with her loving husband of forty-nine years by her side. She was born on November 1, 1950, in South Bend to Wallace and Juanita (Nye) Abee and married Steve Weisser on August 21, 1976.

Sherry graduated from South Bend Adams high school and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), studying at both Olivet Nazarene University and Davenport College. She spent her nursing career at St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend, where her compassionate nature and professionalism made a lasting impact on her patients. Later in life, she cheerfully worked in the Wawasee High School cafeteria for several years.

A private person at heart, Sherry revealed her warm spirit and devotion to those who knew her best. With her closest family and friends, she enjoyed hosting, playing games, and shopping with them. Her life was significantly shaped by her faith, growing up in Nazarene church. She was an active member of Camp Creek Church in Etna Green and later Milford Christian Church, where she found a supportive community.

As a proud mother, Sherry shared many memorable moments with her husband, like coaching their daughters’ sports teams and ensuring they attended nearly all of their games. This family dedication stands out as one of her proudest accomplishments, which is reflected in her deep love for her children.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Steve Weisser of Milford, children, Staci (fiancé Alex Schrock of Goshen) Weisser of Milford and Sara (Jon) Chamberlain of Rapid City, SD, and brother, Jerry (Linda) Abee of Ball Ground, GA.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Juanita Abee.
