Sharadene L. "Sheree" Long

Sharadene L. “Sheree” Long, 67, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at her home. She was born on June 9, 1954 in South Bend, IN to Karl Russel & Joan Louise (Ort) Smith.

She grew up in South Bend, graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, and moved to Syracuse in 1973. She was married on September 29, 1973 in South Bend, IN to Greg L. Long who survives. She retired from Ace Pest Control in North Webster and formerly worked at Hooks Drug Store in Mishawaka & Ligonier, Gropps Fish in Syracuse, and Superior Sample in Ligonier.

She formerly attended the Gospel Center in South Bend & Stones Hill Community Church in Ligonier.

She is survived by:

Husband – Greg Long of Syracuse

2 Sons – Joseph (Elizabeth) Long & David Long both of Cromwell

2 Grandchildren – McKenzie Long & William Long

Mother – Joan Smith of Kendallville

Brother – Stephen Smith of Auburn

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Private burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.
