Sara M. Peters

Sara M. Peters, 81, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 18, 1938 in Goshen, IN to Woodrow & Margaret (Lemley) Hagar.

She graduated in 1957 from Millersburg High School and was married on June 28, 1959 in Benton, IN to Clarence V. Peters who preceded her on March 10, 2014. She was a homemaker and former cook at Millersburg Elementary for 11 years. She lived her life in Millersburg, Goshen, and Chicago Heights, IL before moving to Syracuse.

She was a former member of the Peoples Bible Church in Benton.

She is survived by:

2 Sons – Scott Peters of Clunette & Steven Peters of Las Vegas

2 Grandchildren – Robert Peters & Melinda Heneke

3 Step Grand & 3 Gt. Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother – Fred Joseph Hagar.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. No public services will be held. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of all arrangements.
