It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Sarah Elisabeth Martin on March 14, 2026 at age 37. She was born on September 5, 1988 in Greencastle, IN to Andy and Susan (Aker) Martin of Syracuse, IN. She was a 2006 graduate of Norwell High School, Ossian, IN.
Sarah worked several jobs after high school: customer service, tech support, debt collection for companies like Centennial Wireless, Teleperformance, ADT Security, Helvey and Associates, and Verizon Wireless.
Sarah’s parents are both pastors of the United Methodist Church; growing up she lived throughout the state of Indiana: Everton, Corydon, Larwill, Wolcottville, Logansport, Rolling Prairie, SouthBend, Zanesville, and Warsaw. During her teen years she was involved in youth group, attended Ichthus Christian Music Festival, and Church Camp at Camp Adventure and Pine Creek. Loving God and being involved in church were the foundation of who she was. She loved her family and friends deeply.
Sarah always had a love for animals, especially dogs and cats, as well as her cockatiel and fish. Through the years she helped her dad train labradors and bird dogs; and when she could she would sneak a cat home. She had a black lab of her own and a cocker spaniel that she was very fond of. She had a wonderful sense of humor, although a bit warped at times; always putting a smile on your face.
She leaves behind three children: Micah age 11, Elisabeth age 9, and Olivia age 7, who were adopted by her parents. They survive along with her brothers and their families, Matthew (Tabatha) Martin of Chesapeake, VA and Nathan (Rachel) Martin of Wakarusa, IN. Grandparents Don and Doris Martin, Terre Haute, IN; John Aker, Owensboro, KY. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Janet Aker.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. Titus Funeral Home of North Webster is entrusted with the care of Sarah. To leave condolences, please visit www.TitusFuneralHome.com.
Memorials may be designated for “Micah, Ellie, and Olivia Martin Scholarship Fund.”
