Ruth Timmreck

Ruth Etta (Smith) Timmreck, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully at her son's home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, after a short fight for her health.

Born in Leesburg, to Virgil and Dorotha Smith, Ruth grew up with 13 brothers and sisters. She found time to enjoy bowling, fishing, cookouts and gardening, which helped round out her free time. Much of Ruth's additional time was spent either sewing and crafting or playing her favorite, Bingo!

Ruth's varied work history includes some time spent at Paragon Medical, and in her retirement years she enjoyed working at Dollar Tree, instead of sitting at home.

Ruth's love for her family exceeded all. Her wit and humor made her the center of many family gatherings, and her snappy comebacks and "Smith Sass" kept her there. Time spent with her boys and grandkids gave her the biggest smile.

Serving are 2 sons, Rick Smith, of Wolf Lake, and Randy Smith, of Warsaw; stepsons David Timmreck and Michael Timmreck; grandchildren Cody, Cory, Sadie and Aleah; Griffen, Carrigan and Aubrey, Abby, Ashton and Dillon; several great grandchildren and her siblings, Keith, Beverly, Buddy, Bill, Sue and JuneAnn.
