Ruth Stork

Ruth Ann Stork, age 89, of Milford, went to see Jesus on Sunday, February 8, 2026. She passed at home with her family by her side. Ruth was born on December 20, 1936 in Coleman, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents Alton and Alice Carpenter who adopted her. She graduated from Coleman Michigan High School in 1955.

On June 20, 1957 she married the love of her life James Stork. They had one son Michael James Stork who lives in Fredericksburg, TX with his wife Sherry. Michael's first wife Suzy gave him two children, (Jimmy) Michael James Stork who lives in Fort Wayne, IN with his wife Ashley and they have two children Natalie and Iver; and a daughter Christina married Dan Hoffman. They live in Manderville, Louisiana and have two boys, Cameron and Chase.

Ruth worked at Augsburger’s Grocery Store, The Paper in Milford, Tranters Graphics and Serenade Foods. Ruth was an avid baker. She would make cinnamon rolls, and bread for the Church Auction. Pastors, and the congregation waited on her baked goods to come up for bid.

They lived on Waubuee lake for over 50 years, she loved to fly fish. Taking Pontoon rides around the lake was a daily pleasure when the weather would cooperate. The peace of the lake was great pleasure for them and all who went on rides.

She was very active in her local Church, United Methodist Church in Milford. Serving on many boards. She loved Jesus with all her heart.

At the end of her life, she was cared for by Elara Hospice. They were loving and helped in giving her a chance to pass at home. A Life Celebration visitation and service will be held from 1-2pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1001 S. Huntington Street, Indiana 46567.
