Russell Alan “Woolly” Kann, 80, Syracuse, died Thursday, July 2, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born Nov. 12, 1945, in Detroit, Mich., to Herbert and Mary Kann.

He married Wrenay (Lenfestey) Setser on June 16, 1989.

He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1964.

Russ was a longtime employee at R.R. Donnelly & Sons. He also was an employee of Explorer Van (Warsaw) and retired from the Milford Post Office.

He enjoyed playing cards at the Elks Club, golfing, traveling and participating in poker tournaments.

Russ is survived by his wife: Wrenay; daughter: Lasca (Rob) Randels, Warsaw; sons: Jason (Nicole) Kann, Etna Green; Derek (Bonnie) Kann, Syracuse; and Spencer (Selena) Kann, Indianapolis; stepson: Nathan (Lisa) Setser, Warsaw; sisters: Virginia Kreutzer, Warsaw; and Dorothy Szabo, New York; grandchildren: Ashley (Lane Waltz) Kann, Colorado; Brianna (Jared) Mutchler, Atwood; Allie (Christopher) Howard, North Carolina; Autumn (Sage) Henderson, Plainfield; Shannon (Joey Davis) Randels, Bloomington; Harper Setser, Warsaw; and Easton Setser, Warsaw; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
