Ruby Maxine Albertson, 81, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 3:13 p.m. on Thursday, January 7. 2021 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. She was born on September 21, 1939 in Warsaw, IN to Donald Frederick & Elma Ruth (Norman) Byrer.

She was a lifetime Warsaw area resident and graduated in 1957 form Warsaw High School. She was married on February 8, 1958 in Mishawaka, IN to Jan Stephen “Steve” Albertson who survives. She formerly worked at RR Donnelley & Sons in Warsaw for 20 years and retired from Albertson’s Sport Shop in Warsaw.

She was a member of local dog clubs.

She is survived by:

Husband – Steve Albertson of Warsaw

Daughter – Cindy Waddle of Warsaw

Son – Allan (Elaine) Albertson of Warsaw

4 Grandchildren – Alexis Albertson, Nikki Albertson, Meghann Waddle, and Logan Waddle

4 Brothers – James (Connie) Byrer of Elkhart, Cecil Byrer of Warsaw, Lewis Byrer of Warsaw, and Phillip (Sharon) Byrer of Warsaw

5 Sisters – Louise Truex of Etna Green, Vickie (Jay) Boggs of Mentone, Betty Russell, Connie (Sid) Phillips of Warsaw, and Joyce (Tod) Giles of Warsaw

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister – Doris Byrer, and brother – Ronnie Byrer.

No services are planned at this time. Private burial will take place in the Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 1048 S 325E, Pierceton, IN 46562.
