Ronald L. "Hillbilly" Crosby

Ronald L. “Hillbilly” Crosby, 55, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on July 14, 1966 in Mobile, AL to Harvey & Helen (Risen) Crosby.

He grew up in Alabama, attended high school there, and moved to the Syracuse area 33 years ago. He was employed at Prime Time (Forest River) in Wakarusa and formerly worked at Dutchman Homes in Syracuse.

He is survived by:

Daughter – Katherine “Katie” Crosby of Syracuse

Son – Justin (Pamela Hodgson) Crosby of Cromwell

4 Grandchildren – Cayden, Ryley, Maddie, and Raymond

Twin Brother – Donnie (Pamela) Crosby of Semmes, AL

Brother – Michal Crosby of Marinette, WI

2 Sisters – Anita Crosby of Nashville, TN & Beverly (Danny) Gilmore of Gatlin, TN

He was preceded in death by his parents & step father – Charles Eddins.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Stan Owen of the Syracuse Church of God officiating. Private family burial will take place in Alabama at a later date.
