Ronald L. Jones

Ronald L. Jones, of Winona Lake, passed away peacefully onThursday, January 22, 2026, at Grace Village Retirement Community. Born on February 11, 1939, in Rochester, he was the son of Clair and Margaret Jones (Heighway). Ron lived a remarkable life dedicated to family, faith, and community.

After graduating from Talma High School, class of 1957, Ron spent an impressive 40 years working at R.R. Donnelley and 18 years with Creighton Brothers. His work ethic and dedication were only matched by his approachable and easygoing demeanor.

His personality reflected a laid-back and friendly approach to life, making friends easily wherever he went. Ron had a passion for outdoor activities including camping, fishing, and golfing. He also obtained his pilot license. As a true sports lover, he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Indiana University. Ron played basketball and graduated from the Talma Tigers and also enjoyed watching Warsaw Tigers basketball for many years. Bird watching was another one of his pastimes, enjoying looking at the birds on the bird feeder.

On January 25, 1969, Ron married Patricia Holloway in Akron, and together they built a loving home filled with joy. Ron was a devoted husband of 57 years to Pat, an extraordinary father to their daughters: Sherri (Dustin) Stamper, Elizabeth (Norbert) Kaminski, Sandra (Darren) Morley, and Wendy (Chuck) Fennell. The love he shared with his family extended to his grandchildren, Brandon, Chelsea, Austin, Kara, Alyssa, Claire, Paige, and Hayden; as well as to his great-grandchildren, Dalton, Finley, Harper, Graham and Adeline.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clair and Margaret Jones, his sister, Jeanette McKee, and his niece, Patricia Shoemaker.
