Robert Eugene "Bob" Laughlin

Robert E. “Bob” Laughlin, 94, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. He was born on March 29, 1927 in Goshen, IN to Millard & Fern (Brown) Laughlin.

He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident, graduated in 1947 from Syracuse High School, and was a United States Army veteran. He was married on February 22, 1947 in Pierceton, IN to Hilda L. (Myers) who preceded him on August 26, 1997. He retired after 45 years as a Tool & Die Maker at Johnson Controls in Goshen.

He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse, Max Welton Golf Course in Syracuse for 64 years, and was an avid golfer & fisherman.

He is survived by:

2 Daughters – Diana (John) Bradley of Syracuse & Jackie (Jeff) Bradley of Milford

8 Grandchildren – Christine, Amy, Jennifer, Joseph, Jeremiah, Joshua, Jonathan, and Amber

14 Gt. Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 daughters – Loretta McAllister & Roberta Laughlin, gt. grandson – Ernest Elm, sister – Alene Reed, 3 brothers – Millard Laughlin Jr., Bill Laughlin, and Bud Laughlin.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN with Pastor Mindy Hoffman officiating. Military graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 in the Syracuse Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
