Robert E. "Bob" Boocher

Robert E. "Bob" Boocher, 84, of Bremen, IN died at 10:31 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. He was born on April 12, 1925 in South Bend, IN to Daniel F. & Grace (Green) Boocher.

He graduated in 1946 from Madison Township High School in Wyatt, IN and lived most of his life in the Bremen area. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was married on May 23, 1948 in Bremen, IN to Phyllis V. Silvey who survives.

He retired from the RV industry after 30+ years of service and was formerly employed at Studebaker Corporation in South Bend. He was a member of the Nappanee Missionary Church and the American Legion Post 191 in Bremen.

He is survived by:
Wife - Phyllis Boocher of Bremen;
3 Daughters - Mrs. William (Rebecca) Hasse of Syracuse; Mrs. Richard (Deborah) Eberhardt of Bremen; & Mrs. Tem (Valerie) Kite of Elkhart;
3 Sons - Stephen Boocher of Elkhart; Douglas (wife, Glenda) Boocher of Bremen; & Rob Boocher of Goshen;
12 Grand & 8 Gt. Grand;
2 Sisters - Mrs. William (Lavone) Steele of Mishawaka & Mrs. Ernest (Genevieve) Couch of Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers - Lester, Delbert & Daniel Jr. Boocher.

Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel, 70417 State Road 19, Nappanee, IN.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the Church sanctuary with Pastor Norm Reimer of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Bremen Cemetery with military graveside rites performed by the Bremen American Legion Post 191.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Robert Boocher Funeral Fund c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567. Envelopes will be available at the church.
