Robert Paaren

November 3, 1963 — January 27, 2023

St. Peters

Robert Matthew Paaren, known to some as "Bob", passed peacefully in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in the evening of Friday, January 27, 2023. He was 59 years old.

Born in Elmhurst, IL on November 3, 1963, Bob was the son of Richard B. Paaren and Gail H. Fuller. He spent his formative years there, graduating from Willowbrook High School in 1981, Southern Illinois University in 1986 with a B.S. in Industrial Technology, and Lindenwood University in 1991 with an M.B.A. After retiring from Boeing in 2020, Bob went back to school and achieved a HVAC certification.

Professionally, Bob spent more than 33 years working with McDonnel Douglas and Boeing as a Production Integrator, and later on in Boeing’s Defense sector. After retiring, he freelanced HVAC and handyman repair work. Bob was loyal, hardworking and always spoke his mind. Bob was prideful and devoted in everything he touched, including those he was closest with. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Road King year-round, spending time with friends and family, fishing, and the outdoors. During his retirement, he picked up gardening, growing several herbs and tomato plants. Bob was a Jack of all trades and could fix anything. He was very proud of his family and devoted to them.

United in marriage to Loretta (Lou) Marie Palm on October 18, 1986, Bob and Lou spent more than 36 years together before his passing; she survives at home. Also surviving with memories to cherish are two children: Kyle Paaren of Idaho Falls, ID, and Alan Paaren of St. Peters, MO; along with his brother, Gary (Michael) Paaren of Chicago, IL.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Paaren, and brother, Gregg Paaren. Bob will live on in others as he was able to donate his organs and tissue to those in need after he passed.

Special thanks to the Parkview Regional Medical Center ICU team and Indiana Donor Network in Fort Wayne Indiana for a smooth, peaceful passing and outstanding care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brain Injury Association, American Brain Foundation, or the Alzheimer’s association.

Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services is entrusted with Bob's care. A Celebration of Life will be held in St. Peters, Missouri on Sunday, February 19th; Bob’s Celebration of Life will be located at Water's Edge Banquet Center at St. Peters Golf Club from 11am-3pm.
