Robert E. Derbyshire, peacefully passed away on October 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was 63 years old at the time of his death. He was born on April 11, 1962 to William and Martha (Johnson) Derbyshire.
Having learned the value of hard work at an early age, Robert dedicated many years of his life to the field of water treatment. He gained extensive experience as a Water Treatment Specialist, working in packaged food plants and various other facilities within related industries. In addition to his technical skills, Robert also sold chemicals which focused on the facilities he serviced.
Robert was known for his vivid personality; he often broke the mold and was remembered for his ornery demeanor. However, those who knew him best recognized his heart of gold.
His passions extended beyond his career into his personal life. Robert loved to fish and golf. He took immense pride in caring for his yard and meticulously tending to his flower gardens. Additionally, Robert was an avid sports fan, with a special affection for football, particularly the Indianapolis Colts and The Ohio State. Watching games often brought friends and family together, complemented by his renowned homemade chili and wings.
Robert is survived by his mother, Martha Derbyshire of Fort Wayne; his daughter, Audrey (Lenord) McCreery of Warsaw and his son, Bobby Derbyshire (Whitney) of Atoka, TN. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Adriana, Riley, Claire, Lauren, and Gunner, who were a source of joy and pride in his life. He also is survived by a brother, Bill Derbyshire and long-time girlfriend, Susie Lieber.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Derbyshire.
A Life Celebration® is entrusted to Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 4th from 4 - 8 p.m., with a family led eulogy at 6:30 p. m.
