Rachel R. Swain

Rachel R. Swain, of Warsaw, passed away at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital on Monday, November 7, 2022 at the age of 35. She was born in Goshen, IN on October 17, 1987 to Joseph and Priscilla Swain. She went to Warsaw high-school and she played many sports including basketball, volleyball and soccer.

Rachel was an amazingly caring, dependable, and kindhearted person. She was always willing to help others, especially her parents; rain or shine, she was there. Rachel was very out spoken, and by God, when she needed to, she got her point across! Rachel wasn't a put down kinda person. When she was pushed, she ALWAYS picked herself back up and started over if she needed to. Her attitude and laughter will fill our hearts and remind us of her every day.

Rachel is survived by her two sons, Zeryc and Raven Chalmers; two step sisters, Krista Ballesteros (Louis), and Cara Conover (Jeremy Conover); two step brothers, the late Shawn Rangel (Amy), and Rodney Rangel; five nieces, Alizae, Kylee, Samara, Gracelynn, and Mariana; and four nephews, Romio, Xavier, Kae-Jay and Dennon. She loved spending time with her family and absolutely loved the holidays for the reason of being close to her family. Rachel will forever be in our hearts. We will keep her memory alive!

A memorial gathering will be on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 1 pm at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church 3651 N. State Road 15 in Warsaw.
