Paul E. Hopkins, 71, of Warsaw died at 7:45 p.m. on June 3, 2009 in his residence. He was born on May 1, 1938 in Silver Lake, IN to George Franklin & Pearl (Risner) Hopkins.

He was a lifetime Kosciusko County area resident. He attended Claypool High School and served in the United States Army. He was married on August 4, 1963 in North Webster, IN to Pamela J. Wagoner who survives.

He retired in 1998 from Essex Group, Inc. in Columbia City, IN after 5 years as a truck driver. He was also formerly employed as a truck driver for Pierceton Trucking Company, Inc. and Arrow Motor Transport for several years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 49 in Warsaw, IN.

He is survived by:
Wife - Pam Hopkins of Warsaw;
2 Daughters - Mrs. Steve (Paula) Foltz of Etna Green, IN & Mrs. Doug (Melody) Luecke of Warsaw;
1 Son - Dean (Dino) Hopkins of St. Petersburg, FL;
2 Grandsons - Kyle & Cole Foltz;
2 Brothers - James Delbert Hopkins of Redford, MI & George (J.R.)(wife, Beverly) Hopkins of Eloy, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters - Bessie Overholt & Julia Altman, & 3 brothers - Roscoe, William, & Homer (Hoppy) Hopkins.

Visitation will be 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2009 at McHatton - Sadler Funeral Home, 2290 Provident Ct., Warsaw, IN. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday June 6, 2009 at the McHatton - Sadler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Whitaker of the Living Hope Church in Warsaw and Rev. Mark Wagoner of the 1st Church of God in Neon, KY officiating. Burial will follow at the Silver Lake Cemetery with military graveside rites performed by the American Legion Post 49 of Warsaw.

Memorial bequest may be given to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, 902 Provident Dr., Warsaw, IN 46580. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of all arrangements.
