Patricia J. Reitz-Collins, age 85, passed away on October 12, 2025, in Warsaw, Indiana. Born on March 10, 1940, in Elkhart, Indiana to Henry and Mable (Kegley) Willey.
Patricia's professional journey began after graduating from Elkhart Central High School in 1960, followed by her attendance at the University of South Bend and St. Mary's of the Woods in Terre Haute. She serves faithfully in the medical field for over two decades. She worked at Elkhart General for 22 years and continued her dedication at Goshen Hospital for an additional six years. In 2009, Patricia retired as a Home Health Aide, leaving a lasting impression on patients and colleagues alike through her commitment to care.
Beyond her professional life, Patricia was a devoted member of Nappanee Missionary Church, where she poured her heart into singing in the choir and fostering a sense of community among her fellow congregants. Her passion for creativity was evident in her hobbies, which included painting and crocheting, hobbies she often shared with her loved ones.
Patricia's family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Mickey) Scott of Syracuse; her son, Ross Reitz of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren, all of whom enriched her life with love and cherished memories.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Michael David Brown and Raymond D. Reitz; and sisters, Deborah Sue Willey and Kathryn Christian; as well as her brother, Henry Willey, Jr. Each of them will be fondly remembered and missed by Patricia's family.
A Life Celebration® visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 1-2 pm at Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1001 S. Huntington Street, Syracuse, Indiana. The funeral will follow at 2pm. Pastor Jason Rohde will officiate. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Syracuse. Memorial gifts may be given to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Titus Funeral Home has been entrusted with care of Patricia.
