Neil "Sam" Manwaring, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on September 30, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on November 6, 1969, in Warsaw to Frank and Mary (Miner) Manwaring. Sam married his wife Kimberly Poe on June 2, 2023.

Sam's career was an embodiment of hard work and dedication. He grew up and worked for several years at his parents' farm, Manwaring Leghorn Farms, before branching out into plumbing. Sam took pride in his craft and always ensured that those around him received the best service possible.

He attended Tippecanoe Valley Schools and graduated in 1988. Additionally, he pursued his passion for football at Iowa Lakes Community College and also attended Vincennes University.

Sam had a vibrant personality that emanated joy wherever he went. He was known as the life of the party and brought laughter to countless gatherings. His infectious enthusiasm created an atmosphere of merriment and camaraderie. Sam could effortlessly light up a room with his jokes and stories.

In his leisure time, Sam found solace in various hobbies and interests. He was an ardent fan of the Minnesota Vikings Football team and cheered them on with unparalleled enthusiasm. Fishing and hunting were treasured pastimes that allowed Sam to connect with nature and find inner peace. He was particularly skilled at angling muskies and pike fish—a testament to his patience and determination. Music played an immense role in Sam's life. In particular, he held a deep affection for the Grateful Dead. The rhythm flowed through him as he skillfully played both the drums and guitar—an artistic expression that brought him immeasurable joy. Sam was also a member Kosciusko County Shrine Club for many years.

One of Sam's favorite places to spend his leisure time was Chapman Lake. The tranquil beauty of the surroundings provided him with an idyllic escape from the demands of everyday life.

Sam's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who survive him. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly (Poe) Manwaring, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Children, Anna and Zane Manwaring of South Carolina. Sisters Jennifer Manwaring and Julie (Scott) Reed of Warsaw.
