Myra A. Bixler

Myra A. Bixler, 73, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 7:02 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her home. She was born on December 6, 1947 in Fort Wayne, IN to Myron M. & Rosella (Witherow) Corll.

She graduated in 1965 from Roanoke High School and attended Ivy Tech College in Warsaw. She was married on August 6, 1966 in Roanoke, IN to Mearlin E. Bixler who survives and moved to North Webster / Pierceton area from Roanoke. She retired in 2018 from Ivy Tech in Warsaw after 26 years and was formerly employed at Grossnickle Eye Center in Warsaw for 24 years.

She formerly attended Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego.

She is survived by:

Husband – Mearlin Bixler of Pierceton

Daughter – Kari (Ted) Doty of Warsaw

Son - Marty (Heather) Bixler of Warsaw

Mother– Rosella Corll of Huntington

6 Grandchildren– Kayla (Spencer) Wood, Laura Bixler, Karen Murphy, Bradley Murphy, Baylor Doty and Tate Doty

2 Sisters – Nanda (Denis) Wilson of Roanoke & Linda (Gerry) Holzinger of Huntington

She was preceded in death by her father and daughter – Jennifer Murphy.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Rahn from the First Baptist of Warsaw officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
