Minnie Louise Wise, 90, of North Webster, IN passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born on March 13, 1927 in Goshen, IN to Martin Franklin & Edith Leora (Wogoman) Hoover.
She was a lifetime Syracuse / North Webster area resident and attended Syracuse High School. She was married in 1951 to Norris Devon “Hoppy” Wise who preceded her on August 17, 1992. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Laketronics in Syracuse and several area restaurants including Wawasee Café for many years.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in North Webster, formerly attended the Syracuse Church of God, and was a former member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 1342 in Syracuse.
She is survived by:
Daughter – Cindy (Jack) Simpson of North Webster
Son – Charles (Penny) Lamb of North Webster
7 Grand, 13 Gt. Grand, & 1 Gt. Gt. Granddaughter
Brother – Karl (Evelyn) Hoover of Morgantown, NC
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons – Randy & James Wise, granddaughter – Jenelle Lamb, gt granddaughter – Bethany Lamb, 3 sisters – Rhonda Hoover, Geneva Cripe, & Doris Gilbert, and 3 brothers – Ray, Nelson, & Junior Hoover.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Church of the Brethren, 7281 E. 600N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church with Pastor Bob Wyman of the church officiating. Graveside services will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Syracuse Cemetery.
