Mindy Sue Ditton, age 49, of Warsaw, passed away on February 16, 2026, in her hometown of Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on June 16, 1976 in Warsaw, Indiana. Her parents were Donald M Shepherd and Lella Holbrook.
Mindy's interests reflected her vibrant personality; she had a fondness for shoes,cars and her dogs that always sparked joy and excitement in her life. Her ability to find beauty in the little things and her unwavering spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. We lost a very important and cherished soul. Mindy was full of life and love. She came from a big family who she loved and devoted her life to. She will be remembered as the person who would do anything for those she cared about.
She is survived by her mother, Lella Holbrook of Warsaw. Mindy was a devoted mother to her five sons: Ritchie Hernandez, Cesar Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, Tyas Lannoo, and Marcus Hinkle, all of Warsaw. She was blessed with the love of 20 grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride. Additionally, Mindy shared a close bond with her siblings: Bill (Leonda) Vance of Larwill, Jason (Racheal) Waikel of Warsaw, Bradley Waikel of Warsaw, Bobby Waikel of Warsaw, Brian (Marissa) Leonard of Michigan, Butch (Heather) Shepherd of California, Denise(Haywood) Harrison of Argos, and Taylor Barton of Fort Wayne. Her life also included the joyful presence of her God children, Tyler Stewart and Brooklyn Stewart, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Mindy was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Ditton, her father, Don Shepherd, her step-father, David Holbrook, and her birth mother, Cindy Barton. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Life Celebration visitation and service of Mindy Sue Ditton will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm, both held at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw, Indiana. Pastor Terry Bradford will officiate. Mindy's life was a testament to warmth, strength, and the enduring power of family.
