Michael D. "Mike" McKibbin

Michael D. "Mike" McKibbin, 77, of Millersburg, IN passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 3, 1940 in South Bend, IN to David Alexander & Violet M. (Herr) McKibbin.
He graduated in 1959 from Central high School in south Bend and Ivy Tech in South Bend and was married on October 7, 1961 in South Bend, IN to Patricia J. “Pat” Ruch who survives. He was employed at GDC, Inc. in Goshen for over 20 years. He grew up in South Bend and moved to Millersburg 35 years ago from Wolcottville, IN.
He was affiliated with the Episcopal Church in Goshen & South Bend and former member of the American Legion in Millersburg. He was an avid fisherman and a Chicago Bears & Red Sox fan.
He is survived by:
Wife – Pat McKibbin of Millersburg
2 Daughters – Laurie Edwards of Millersburg & Michelle McKibbin of Ligonier
2 Sons – Daniel McKibbin of Millersburg & John (Leta) McKibbin of Ligonier
14 Grand & 9 Gt. Grandchildren
3 Sisters – Ann McKibbin of Goshen, Laura (Steve) Tracey of Middlebury, & Loretta (Maury) Miller of Goshen
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. A private family graveside will take place at a later date.
Preferred memorial may be given to AseraCare Hospice, 700 E Beardsley Ave Suite 2B, Elkhart, IN 46514.
