Michael David Oberg, of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on May 1, 1971, in Rapid City, South Dakota, he was the son of David and Jean Oberg (Sheley). Mike’s life was marked by service, commitment, and love for his family and community.

Mike’s professional career was notable by his 35 years of tireless work in Emergency Medical Services working as a paramedic. His expertise and passion for educating and mentoring within the EMS community left a lasting impact. Over the last 15 years, he dedicated his service to Parkview EMS.

Mike was not only respected in his profession, but also a pillar in his neighborhood, serving as HOA president. Always ready to help others, he generously gave his time and talents to neighbors and friends, often mowing lawns, lending tools, plowing snow, and offering support whenever it was needed.

An avid collector, Mike enjoyed gathering stamps, coins, shoes, and watches, each collection reflecting his well-organized nature and attention to detail.

Above all, he was immensely proud of his family, the central joy of his life. He married his loving wife, Dana, on October 25, 2008, and together they built a warm and supportive home. The community will remember Mike not only for his professional contributions but also for the warmth, kindness, and integrity he brought into every aspect of his life. His sudden passing leaves a void among those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Dana; children, Braxton Oberg and his wife JoEllyn, Jack Oberg, and Macy Oberg; granddaughters, Charlotte, Emelia, and Penelope; parents, David and Jean Oberg; and brother, Chris Oberg and his wife Kelly. He is further survived by his best friend, Darrin and his wife Stacey Lohse, and three godsons, Michael Lohse and his wife Hayli, Nicholas Lohse, and McKibben Lohse and his wife Megan, as well as numerous extended family members and many friends.
