Michael W. Johnson, age 62, of Claypool, passed away on May 29, 2026, in Parkview LaGrange Hospital, LaGrange, Indiana. He was born on May 18, 1964, in Warsaw, Indiana to Jerry and Lois (Heckman) Johnson. Mike’s life was defined by his steadfast commitment to the City of Warsaw, and Warsaw Community Schools where he dedicated many years of service.
Throughout his life, Mike was known not only for his civic contributions but also for his vibrant spirit and diverse interests. He had a profound love for racing, an enduring enthusiasm for fishing, and was an avid supporter of both the Fort Wayne Komets and Kentucky Basketball. His energy and passion for these pursuits reflected a life filled with joy and engagement beyond his work.
Mike’s proudest accomplishments included his role as a volunteer firefighter and his active involvement with the Claypool Lions Club. Through these roles, he demonstrated a deep sense of responsibility and a heartfelt desire to give back, characteristics that defined his approach to life and service.
He is survived by a loving family who stood by him throughout his journey. His parents, Jerry and Lois (Heckman) Johnson of Claypool, provided the foundation of his early years. Mike was a very proud father of his sons, Logan Johnson of Winona Lake and Brandon Johnson of Claypool, whose lives he cherished deeply. His significant other Donna Goble of Claypool, was a steadfast partner. Mike is further survived by his twin brother, Mark Johnson of Claypool along with Mark’s wife, Sandra.
A Life Celebration Service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Warsaw with 2 hours of visitation prior to the service.
