Merle Campbell Jr.

Merle Campbell Jr., lifelong resident of Milford, passed away at the Peabody’s Retirement Community on August 18, 2023 at the age of 93. He was born to Merle and Laura (Smith) Campbell on November 16, 1929, in Milford, IN.

Merle proudly served our country as he was in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1953. On August 16, 1957, Merle married Laura "Sue" Free in Milford, IN.

He is survived by his wife, Laura of Milford; son, Jeffrey Campbell and son-in-law, Dan Cochran. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lesa Cochran.

A private graveside service will occur at Milford Cemetery. The family will be grieving privately. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter - NE Office, 7221 Engle Rd. Suite 230, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services of North Webster.
