Melinda Marie "Linda" Elliott

Melinda Marie “Linda” Elliott, 58, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 2:56 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City, IN. She was born on June 3, 1963 in Goshen, IN to Claire Jay & Lorraine I. (Sherman) Mock.

She was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and attended Wawasee High School. She was formerly employed at the American Legion in Syracuse, England’s Family Dining, Down Under, and former owner / operator of Landmark in New Paris and Duffy’s in Syracuse.

She attended Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego and member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Syracuse.

She is survived by:

Parents – Lorraine & Jimmie Arbuckle of Goshen

Sister – Dorothy “Dottie” (Eric) Schang of Leesburg

Companion – Donald Black of Syracuse

She was preceded in death by her father, sister – Angela Hedrick, and brother – Bruce Allen Mock.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021 in the funeral home with Dr. Mark Soto officiating. Private burial will take place in the Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
