Mary E. Snodgress, 83, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Center for Hospice House in Elkhart, IN. She was born on May 27, 1933 in Fort Wayne, IN to Everett Kenneth & Doris Evelyn (Tutterow) Ditton.
She grew up in the Chicago, IL area and graduated from Calumet High School in Calumet City, IL. She was married on June 18, 1954 in Blountsville, IN to Phillip L. “Phil” Snodgress who preceded her on April 30, 2011. She formerly worked at Delco Remy in Anderson for 13 years, Walmart in Wabash for 4 years, Butterballs Convenience Store in North Manchester, and First National Bank of Warsaw. She returned to Indiana in 1954 and lived many years in the New Castle / Muncie area before moving to Warsaw, IN.
She is survived by:
Son – David “Dave” Snodgress of Warsaw
Grandson – Phil Snodgress of Coldwater, MI
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 brothers – Kenneth & James Ditton.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will take place at a later date in the Mooreland Cemetery in Mooreland, IN. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements.
