Mary Catherine Weaver

Mary Catherine Weaver, 84, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Kendallville Nursing Home in Kendallville, IN. She was born on September 23, 1937 in Syracuse, IN to Ned & Bertha (Biltz) Stuckman.

She was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and attended Syracuse High School. She was married on December 26, 1953 in Syracuse, IN to Richard “Dick” Weaver who preceded her on September 28, 2017. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Augsburger’s I.G.A., Connelly’s Grocery, Wawasee Laundromat, and Roger’s Electro-matics all in Syracuse.

She was a former member of the Church of the Brethren in Syracuse.

She is survived by:

4 Daughters – Kathy (Joseph) Martin of Syracuse, Connie (Donald) Stoliker of Cromwell, Donna (Stuart) Jackson of Milford, and Judy (Robert) Bachtel of Syracuse

Son – Jack (Lina) Weaver of Goshen

11 Grand, 27 Gt. Grandchildren, and 1 Gt. Gt. Grandson

3 Brothers - Alden Stuckman, Charles (Sharon) Stuckman, and Daniel (Linda) Stuckman all of Syracuse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, gt. grandson – Cayden Jones, sister - Joy Brown, and 3 brothers – Ned Jr., Ross & Gary Stuckman.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Memorial services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Private burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.
