Mary Beth "Betsy" Kridner

Mary Beth "Betsy" Kridner, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, May 14, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born on October 4, 1940, in Plymouth, the daughter of Jesse “Jess” and Eve Mae Pettis (Long).

After graduating from Culver High School in 1958, Betsy dedicated a significant portion of her life to her career and raising her children. She served as the secretary for the University of Illinois until her retirement in 2003. Her professional dedication was only matched by her commitment to her family. Betsy was united in marriage to Richard Kridner on April 29, 1977, with whom she shared many cherished memories. He preceded her in passing in September of 2019.

Betsy found joy in playing bingo and was known for her skill in crochet, reflecting her creative spirit and attention to detail. She was also characterized by her cleanliness, earning her the title of "neat freak" among her loved ones.

Betsy leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter, Thania (Jack Harris) Colgrove, and son, Philip (Susie) Colgrove; grandsons, Grice Colgrove, Michael Colgrove, Christopher Colgrove, Rex Colgrove, and Marcus Harris, as well as three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard, sister, Frances Livinghouse, and an infant brother.

Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street Warsaw, IN, is entrusted with the care of Betsy. She will be laid to rest at Culver Masonic Cemetery with her husband.
