Marjorie Harmon, lovingly known as Marj, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne at the age of 73. She was born on December 25, 1952, in Wabash, the daughter of Elmer and Opal Hanes (Wray). Marj was a 1971 graduate of Mentone High School, where she played in the marching band. She was also a ten year member of 4-H.
Marj dedicated 46 years of her professional life to running the front office at CFS in Bourbon. Together, they crafted a life filled with love, raising a family that brought her great joy and pride.
Marj was a woman of many interests. She was well-traveled, exploring numerous countries and states, always eager to learn about their history. Her strong commitment to her faith was evident through her active involvement in her church, where she participated in the women’s group. She also enjoyed the company of a euchre club. A remarkable cook and baker, she was famous for her delicious pies and comfort food, which were often a highlight during family gatherings. She also found joy in watching shows at the Wagon Wheel Theatre.
Marj is survived by her husband Terry, daughter Ashlee (Nate) McKeand and their children Parker and Maylee, and son Brock (Becky) Harmon and their two children, Kinley and Cole. She also leaves behind her brother, Larry (Donna) Hanes. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her sister, Karen Hanes and brother, Rodney Hanes.
