She was born on September 12, 1933, the daughter of William and Blanche Thomas (Fitzpatrick). Marion lived a life marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and faith. She cherished spending time with her family and friends always making sure that they knew how much she loved and cared for them She also made it a point to share her knowledge of faith in many different forms including prayer, bible verses, lessons from the numerous bible study classes and attending church services virtually.

She found joy in reading and was deeply engaged in politics. Marion’s knowledge of history, politics and religion rivaled some of today’s finest scholars, which shined regularly as she answered many of the final Jeopardy questions.

Additionally, she was the proud owner of a real estate business and enriched her community as an administrative assistant at Trinity Lutheran School for 13 years before retiring.
