Mario Garza Ramirez, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 79. Born on January 19, 1947, in Abasolo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, he was the son of Pablo Garza and Juana Ramirez Garza. Mario led a life rooted in hard work and a deep commitment to family values.

As a retired farmer, he dedicated much of his life to nurturing the land and providing for his loved ones. His strong work ethic and determination were evident in all aspects of his life. Mario married Maria Garza and together, they raised their six children creating lasting memories.

Mario enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. He had a special affinity for fishing and could often be found casting lines into serene waters. A lover of simple pleasures, he enjoyed a good banana split and spent time watching boxing and soccer, all while proudly supporting his Dallas Cowboys. His appreciation for music, especially Johnny Cash, added another layer to his rich lifestyle.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Mario is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Maria Garza, his children, Mario (Jennifer) Garza Jr., Amanda (John) Ramos, Belinda Hicks, Monica (Jose) Tiscareno, Vanessa Garza, and Bryan Anthony (Morgan) Garza; along with his 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings, Dolores Rayes, Theresa Rivera, Christina Lopez, Ramona Villareal, and Jose Garza as well as many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
