Marilyn J. Rhodes

Marilyn J. Rhodes, 87, of North Webster, IN passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Paddock Springs Nursing Home in Warsaw, IN. She was born on April 6, 1934 in Warsaw, IN to Donald E. & Rosetta Isabelle (Stahly) Ringler.

She was a lifetime area resident and graduated in 1952 from North Webster High School. She was married on October 8, 1955 in Etna, IN to Jack V. Rhodes who preceded her on December 7, 2011. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Northern Indiana Public Service Company, Serenade Foods, and Fort Wayne State School.

She was a member of the Salem Community Church in Wilmot.

She is survived by:

Daughter –Bobbi (Tim) Torrance of Middlebury

3 Sons – Vince (Denise) Rhodes of North Webster, Tim (Janie) Rhodes of Leesburg, and Jim Rhodes of North Webster

8 Grandchildren – Aubrey, Kayla, Austin, Devyn, Collin, Matthew, Tyler, and Grace

1 Gt. Grand Daughter – Ellie Lou Evans

Sister - Virginia Jones of Syracuse

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter – Kristina Schopf, and half-brother – Donald Ringler.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Salem Community Church, 11188 W. 325S, Larwill, IN with Pastor Gary Colby officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.
