Marilyn E. Wagner, of Warsaw and formerly of North Webster, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 8, 1942, to Frederick and Mary (LeCount) Targgart, Marilyn's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family, community service, and her many passions.

Marilyn had a fulfilling career in customer service with United Telephone Company. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond her professional life; she made significant contributions to her community as the organist for the North Webster United Methodist Church for several decades. Her musical talents enriched countless church services and community events, including playing for weddings that hold lasting memories for so many.

In her personal life, Marilyn was known for her love of gardening, where she nurtured both flowers and vegetables, thriving amidst the beauty of nature. Her enjoyment of travel and cooking were further expressions of her zest for life, and during her younger years, she delighted in dancing, embodying a sense of joy. Marilyn's home was a haven for her family, where she loved to be surrounded by them, creating an atmosphere filled with love and laughter.

An avid cat lover, Marilyn shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Bootsie. Her interests also included birdwatching in her yard, which offered her moments of tranquility and connection with nature. After her retirement, she brought her dedication to the environment to the forefront, working with the Department of Natural Resources at the Wawasee Area Conservancy.

Marilyn leaves behind her loving sons, John (Kathy) Nulf and Kent (Jen Olson) Nulf, as well as stepchildren Jessica (Lenny) Neff, Jeremy Wagner, Curtis Wagner, and Stacy Despommier. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, siblings, brother Harold (Rosemary) Targgart, brother-in-law Fred Rossmanith, sister-in-law Cheryl Targgart, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, husband Kenneth Wagner, daughter Susan Nulf, and siblings Arthur Targgart and Miriam Rossmanith.

Titus Funeral Home is entrusted with Marilyn's care. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home, 8056 E 500 N, North Webster, IN, on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Andy Martin of North Webster United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place at Salem Cemetery in Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Elara Hospice or to the Animal Welfare League.
