Sue Guiff, age 66 and a longtime resident of the Warsaw area passed away in her Akron home in the early hours of November 25, 2023, having moved there just seven years ago. She was surrounded with love by her sister and under the gentle care of Elara Caring.

Sue was born Maranel Sue Nellans, though most knew her as "Sue". She was born on February 17. 1957 in Warsaw and was the daughter of Dale S. and Roselllyn (Pankop) Nellans. She was a proud graduate of Warsaw Community High School and was always willing to help with class reunions for the class of 1975.

Sue was a remarkable individual whose life was filled with numerous accomplishments and cherished memories. She was a hard worker and quite intelligent as a dedicated employee at Zimmer. Breaking barriers and defying stereotypes, she became the first woman to serve as a Tool & Die Journeyman at Zimmer. She also held a position as an Engineer - leaving an indelible mark on her profession.

Beyond her career achievements, Sue had a personality that was at times inharmonious but, to those who knew her best, she was  appreciated for her quick wit and occasional sarcastic remarks, adding levity to any situation. She had an insatiable curiosity and loved engaging in intellectual conversations. Sue's dedication was evident in everything she pursued.

Sue was a proud patriot who staunchly supported the Patriot Guard Riders—a group dedicated to honoring fallen soldiers and supporting military families. Additionally, Sue actively participated in shooting sports and served as the secretary of the Wabash HOG Chapter. One of her most memorable experiences was embarking on the Lewis and Clark Harley Ride from Missouri to Washington—an adventure she treasured for its excitement, camaraderie, and scenic beauty. It is fair to say that Sue possessed an unparalleled passion for motorcycles and derived immense satisfaction from teaching others how to ride these powerful machines.

In addition to her circle of many friends, surviving family members include: son, Matt (Angie) Guiff of North Manchester; daughter, Carol Norment of Lagrange; sister, Marcia Nellans of Warsaw; grandchildren: Madison Norment of Wolcottville, Tinley Norment of Wolcottville, Zack Sand of Fort Wayne, Alyssa Huffer of Bloomington, and Gage Guiff of Leesburg and three great-grandchildren. Those who preceded her in passing include, son Todd Guiff; parents, Dale S. and Rosellyn (Pankop) Nellans and her husband, Maurice Guiff to whom she was married on October 4, 1986. Sue was also preceded by her faithful canine companion and best friend, Bindi, who provided unwavering companionship for many years.
