Lowell Thomas Minnix, of Pierceton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the VA Hospital in Fort Wayne, following a long and resilient 26-year struggle with cancer. He was born on March 13, 1947, in Sewell, Kentucky, the son of Weldon and Edith Minnix (Burton). Lowell’s life was marked by dedication, hard work, and a warm heart that touched many.

Lowell served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. His commitment to his country was a defining chapter in his life, reflecting his integrity and sense of responsibility. Following his military service, Lowell channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into founding A&L Welded Products in 1995, a business he proudly owned and operated. Prior to and alongside his business ventures, he worked as a truck driver and lead supervisor.

On November 5, 1966, Lowell married Audrey Sexton, his cherished wife and lifelong companion. Their partnership was a source of strength and joy throughout his years. His passions extended beyond his work and family, he loved fishing, motorcycles, camping, and traveling to Kentucky with family. An animal lover at heart, he was known for taking in animals in need. Additionally, he enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden.
