Lois Warren (Williams)

April 14, 1929 — July 13, 2021

Lois Ann Warren, age 92 of Warsaw and previously a longtime resident of Silver Lake, passed away into the loving presence of her Savior and many waiting family members on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 7:30 a.m.

Born in South Bend on April 14, 1929, Lois was one of four children. Her siblings, Arlinna Went, Ernest Dean Williams and Reita Fuson, all preceded her in passing as did her parents, Phillip Ernest Williams and Ethel Viola (Moore) (Williams) Martin.

Lois had a servant’s heart and cared deeply for others. She was also independent, strong and occasionally stubborn. She rarely knew a stranger and was incredible at remembering names, taking a genuine interest in each person she met. She was sure to recognize the birthdays of those she loved most, making their cards by hand for many years. She was also an accomplished seamstress and quilter who loved to make receiving blankets which she often donated. Most of all, she loved the Lord and her family.

Lois was married to Roger V. Warren on April 14, 1960. The pair shared nearly forty-two years together before his passing in 2002. Those who survive with memories to cherish include her son, Barry Zimmerman of Enon, Ohio, five daughters: Carla (James) Hatfield of Greenback, TN, Julie (Seth) Mikel of Etna Green, Kathy (Mark) Fisher of Cleveland, TN, Rebecca (Frank) Meredith of Silver Lake and Ramona (Tom) Engelberth of Edgerton, OH and their families including 12 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her stepchildren, Dick (Pat) Warren and Roberta (Bob) Gregory, seven step-grandchildren and their families.

A Life Celebration® is planned with Titus Funeral Home of 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, where friends may gather on Friday, July 16, 2021. Lois’ funeral service begins at 11 a.m. while gathering begins at 9:30. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool. Officiating the services is Ken Sistrunk, Pastor of North Manchester Missionary Church, where Lois attended for many years.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Shriners Hospital for Children – Chicago, PO Box 863765
