Listen to Obituary

Linda Lucas, age 74, of Warsaw, passed away surrounded by her family at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN on March 18, 2026. She was born to George Robert and Wynona (Inman) Jackson on December 30, 1951 in Sullivan, IN. She would graduate from Union High School in 1970 and would marry David Lucas on June 6, 1970.

She embraced her role as a homemaker with great care and dedication, raising her children (and later her grandchildren) with love and attention. Her professional endeavors included working as a secretary for Dr. Haymond in Warsaw and serving as the secretary for the Dutchtown Brethren Church. Alongside her husband, David Lucas, she was a long-standing and devoted member of the North Webster United Methodist Church, where she contributed significantly as a member of the board of the Ark Christian Preschool. Linda also played a large role supporting the North Webster Upward Basketball program. Her spirit of service extended to volunteering with Meals on Wheels, reflecting her compassionate nature.

Linda treasured moments spent with her family, especially supporting and attending any and all of her grandchildren’s activities. She was an avid Purdue Basketball fan and enjoyed watching reality television, the Waltons, and Judge Judy (as all the grandchildren will fondly remember). Her enthusiasm for life was evident in her love of music and dance and keeping active through Zumba classes: activities that brought her joy and energy.

One of her wishes was to be an organ donor, and she successfully donated her liver with her passing through the Indiana Donor Network.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, David Lucas of Warsaw; her children Todd (Suzanne) Lucas of Larwill and April (Rodney) Wolfe of Warsaw; and her grandchildren Conner Lucas, Finnley Lucas, Carter Wolfe, and Adam Wolfe. Linda’s family circle also includes her siblings Pete (Eddie) Jackson, George Robert (Mary) Jackson II, and Roberta Jackson, along with step-siblings Marsha Turpin, Daphne (Dennie) Bargar, and James (Christy) Cox. She is reunited in memory with her parents; siblings Janice Groves and Kim Jackson; step-siblings Portia Swiger and John Cox; and her grandson Thomas Lucas.

A Life Celebration to honor Linda’s life will be held on March 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM to Noon at Titus Funeral Home-North Webster, located at 8056 E 500 N, North Webster, Indiana. Her funeral will start at Noon with Pastor Andy Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Leesburg Cemetery.
