Lena Heintzelman

Lena Heintzelman, age 80, passed away at the Majestic Care of West Allen on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Lena was born in Hazard, KY on September 8, 1941, the daughter of Charles and Dicey Hicks. On July 7, 1992, Lena married Harold Heintzelman Jr.

A nature lover, Lena loved to be outside and soak up the sun. She loved to spend time in her vegetable and flower gardens, indulging her green thumb. Lena also enjoyed cooking with and canning the vegetables that came from her gardens.

Those who survive include her husband, JR; stepdaughters, Anita (Rod) Stout and Robyn (Brian) Stump; sister, Emily (Roger) Shepherd; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cara Rhea; and 7 siblings.

Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana is entrusted with the care of Lena. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 10:00am until 12:00pm. The service will begin at 12:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
