Lee Anne Stewart, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend, passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born on March 5, 1953, in Homestead, Florida, to Robert and Jerry Abbott.

Lee Anne was the founder and owner of Lee Anne Stewart Dance School, a labor of love she built and nurtured for 53 years. Through her studio, she shaped generations of dancers, instilling not only technique and discipline but also confidence, joy, and a deep love for the art of dance. The studio was her second home, and her students were an extension of her family.

She found happiness in simple, joyful things—Disney World, volunteering in the children’s ministry at church, and spending countless hours at the dance studio doing what she loved most. Above all, Lee Anne cherished time with her family. One of her greatest joys in life was having all of her children and grandchildren together, filling the room with laughter, love, and memories.

Lee Anne is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Stewart; her son Scott Stewart and wife Amy, and their children Brianne, Aidan, Kenley, and Adley Stewart; her daughter Meghann (Stewart) Wood, husband Adam Wood, and their daughter Elle Wood; and her daughter Janae (Stewart) Bergsma, husband Sean Bergsma, and their daughter Willow Bergsma.

Lee Anne’s legacy lives on through her family, her dancers, and the countless lives she touched with her warmth, dedication, and unwavering passion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Details for a celebration of life will be shared at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fellowship Missions or Quaker Haven Camp. Titus Funeral Home of Syracuse is entrusted with arrangements.
