Larry G. Metzger

Larry G. Metzger, 84, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 3 19 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 23, 1937 in Laotto, IN to Gale Everett & Kathryn J. (Cole) Metzger.

He graduated from Sidney High School and was a lifetime Sidney / Pierceton area resident. He was married on December 20, 1970 In Illinois to Judy K. Phillips who preceded him in on August 7, 2019. He was a truck driver for most of his life and formerly worked at Warsaw Chemical in Warsaw, Metzger Trucking in Silver Lake, and Dickerhoff Trucking in Mentone.

He is survived by:

3 Daughters – Billie (Doug) Hook of Fort Wayne, Becky (Jeff) Sutton of Larwill, and Bambi (Sean) Thomas of Columbia City

Son – Brian (Libby) Metzger of Claypool

8 Grand & 4 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Sue Henderson of Rockledge, FL

Brother – Val (Judy) Metzger of Warsaw

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 grandchildren – Torie & Brody Metzger, and brother – Howard Metzger.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Private family burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Larwill, IN.

Preferred memorials may be given to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
