Larry P. Riley

Larry P. Riley, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the age of 83. Born in Hopkinsville Kentucky on September 8, 1942, he was the son of Wendell and Marie Riley (Mitchell).

A dedicated and lifelong learner, Larry earned his associate's degree from IPFW before graduating from Indiana Tech in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He also earned his professional engineering license.

Larry’s career was marked by incredible engineering achievements. Shortly after graduating, he worked for American Bridge as a project engineer during the construction of the Sears Tower in Chicago. He later moved to Rochester, Indiana to work for McMann O'Connor Construction, followed by a time with Pace Construction in St. Louis. He then joined E & B Paving back in Rochester, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 2004. Never one to sit around, Larry founded his own foundation inspection company after retiring, successfully running it for 17 years.

Beyond his professional life, Larry had many hobbies that brought him joy. He was an avid collector, buyer, and seller of American Flyer toy trains, and he held a lifelong love for Corvettes. He was a familiar face at car and train shows, where he shared his enthusiasm with others.

Above all, Larry was defined by his generous heart and devotion to his loved ones. He was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. He was present in the lives of those he cared for, always showing up for his family whenever they needed him.

Larry married the love of his life, Linda King, on December 11, 1978, sharing nearly 48 years of marriage and cherished memories.

Along with his wife, Linda, he is survived by his sons, Patrick (Laura) Riley and Christopher (Megan) Riley; his three grandsons, Conner, Nolan, and Easton; his sister, Patricia S. Brown; and his two faithful golden retrievers, Maci and Lexi. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with the care of Larry. Friends and family may gather for visitation on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 12:00 pm until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison St. Warsaw, IN 46580. He will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery. His family will be having a celebration of life at their family home, 300 Salman Dr. Warsaw, IN 46580 on Friday, July 31, at 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
