Kerrie Dawn Schrock, of Sebring, Florida and formerly of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Ft. Pierce, Florida, at the age of 79. Born on August 8, 1946, in Elkhart, Indiana, she was the daughter of Burlin and Alethea Haggerty (Snedaker). Kerrie was a vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew her.
Kerrie was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1342, the Eagles Auxiliary Lodge 3760, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 253, demonstrating her commitment to supporting those around her. When she moved to Florida eight years ago, she stayed active with the American Legion and VFW.
Those who knew Kerrie will remember her as someone who was always on the go, exhibiting a lively spirit and a good sense of humor that could brighten up the room. She truly cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren, often found enjoying playing bingo or sipping iced tea on the lanai. A lover of Florida, she loved days spent at the beach soaking up the sun and was always in good company with her chihuahua, Chico.
Kerrie is survived by her children, Danny Manges, James Manges, Renee (Tracy) Minnix, Wade Manges, and Ward (Leann) Manges, as well as her stepchildren, Kim Manges, Sherry Newcomer, and Rusty Guard. She was a grandmother of 16 grandchildren and had many great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Kerrie is also survived by her sisters, Cathy (John) Pelto and Bev Speicher, as well as many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Buddy Manges and her second husband, Terry Schrock, her siblings, BJ Haggerty, Jimmy Haggerty, Weldon Haggerty, Howard Haggerty, Victor Haggerty, Donna Knight, Brenda Stamper, Janet Elijah, and Diane Waycaster, along with her stepson, Todd Manges.
Titus Funeral Home of Syracuse is entrusted with Kerrie’s Life Celebration. Friends and family may gather for visitation at the funeral home, 1001 S. Huntington St. Syracuse, IN 46567, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at Noon.
