Keith Ames, age 68, of Leesburg, passed away surrounded by his family on October 18, 2025. He was born on February 1, 1957 to Victor and Eileen Ames in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He graduated from Bremen High School in 1975 in Midlothian, Illinois. He would later marry his wife Felicia Young on April 26, 1980.
Keith's professional journey was marked by his expertise as a master technician at Ford Lincoln Mercury. His passion for automobiles, particularly those made by Ford, was a significant part of his life. He found immense satisfaction in working on cars and was always eager to lend a helping hand to those needing mechanical advice.
Keith was known for his fun personality and goofy spirit. He enjoyed many hobbies, including shooting, grilling, and building things with his own hands. His love for the outdoors led him to cherish camping and traveling. He was a devoted member of St. Christopher Church in Midlothian, IL and St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse.
Keith is survived by his beloved wife, Felicia Ames of Leesburg; his daughters, Jennifer DeBauche, Lisa (Truman) Pike, and Nicole Ames, all from Illinois; and his cherished grandchildren, Jeffery DeBauche, Alexia DeBauche, and Bailey Pike. He is also survived by his siblings, Sue (Larry) Gerke of Pierceton, Kathy (Larry) Sargis of Midlothian, Illinois, and sister-in-law Jill Ames of Coal City, IL. Keith had many nieces, nephews, and honorary kids. He was Uncle Keith to many.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bob and Tommy (Judy) Ames.
A Life Celebration Visitation will be held on October 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time at Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8056 East 500 North in North Webster, Indiana, followed by a Rosary at 7:30 PM. A second visitation will take place at St. Martin De Porres Parish in Syracuse, Indiana, on October 25, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, leading up to a Mass from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A luncheon will follow mass directly at the church.
A celebration of life will be held in Illinois at a later date.
